Kettler Favorit is sturdy, beautifully made and gym quality. I want more upper body work without much pressure on hips and knees. This machine highly simulates real rowing, with adjustable resistance, very smooth and quiet, and has very flexible "oar" positions to customize for any user. Even the biggest, strongest guy would get a good workout with this machine. I'm a 5'9" female -- I work out aerobically 3-4 times per week.
My glutes were sore after the first workout - about 40 minutes - but I'm still determining if the seat is too hard or if my muscles are out of shape.

Works great, good work out for 10 min; 2 times a day. Very hard to store unit. will not fit under the bed, hard to stand it up. Need to figure out how to store unit in a upright/standing position

I have used rowing machines on an almost daily basis for 20 years and have a garage filled with worn out inferior models. While this machine is slightly more than some of the lower cost models, the quality is vastly superior and well worth the additional expense. Unquestionabaly the best price/performer on the market.

A solidly built machine. Not too complicated to assemble. The digital readout is nice but right now it only reads in Metric settings. I haven't found out if you can switch from Metric to English or if an "English only" readout is what I was supposed to specifically order??
