Well made machine, some issues in assembly. In use as a rowing trainer has three issues: cannot row hand over hand, should have clicks in the rotating handle grips, a better grade of oil in the resistance cylinders would be nice ... resistance changes with use (cylinder temperature).

I had an Carnielli Super Skiff Rowing Machine for many years long ago, but my brother borrowed and never returned it. I searched for years to find a rowing machine that had that same feel of being in an actual outrigger and this Kadett provides just that and an awesome workout! I wouldn't exchange it for anything other than the real deal ever!

The machine is very solid, well designed and well constructed with minimum plastic. The instructions for assembly are no picnic and the instructions for use are almost indecipherable. I would suggest that the company provide clear written instructions for both assembly and usage written by a native English speaker. Having had other rowing machines in the past, this one is built to last and is certainly no toy, nor shoulf it be for the price. The movement of the arms is a bit limited as compared to my former experience, especially in the pull. Perhaps this is a true sculling movement as opposed to a rowing movement, but having never sculled and only rowed in my past, it does seem a bit of a tight fit. All in all, I would certainly recommend this machine.

I use to do a lot of ocean rowing years ago and loved it. I no longer live by a large body of water and miss my rowing. I've searched, for years, for a quality rowing machine that could "simulate" true rowing and I think I may have found it in the Kettler Kadett. I am very pleased with my purchase!
