On first opening the package it appeared as if I would have major problems - the packaging material was broken (as if it had been opened and then repackaged). In fact 2 bolts (of the 8 used to attach the seating bench) are misssing - however the machine seems quite sturdy as I used the available 6 (3 on each side instaed of 4 on each side). It took me about 2.5 hours to set it all up, and was able to do it all by myself. The best part is how quiet this rower is, compared even to the excellent rowers at our fairly high end gym. I have a treadmill and a stepper in my home gym so far, so this is a great addition.

This machine is well built for the long haul, it's easy to use and has plenty of levels to challenge anyone. I started out at level 6 and it kicked my but. It is well built and will last for decades if replacement parts are available if something wears out. It came with a 5yr warranty. Seat is not as comfortable as it should be but I can live with that. I guess the company feels it's not suppose to be comfortable and fluffy. I would recommend this model instead of a cheaper unit that would be more noisy and cheaply built. Exteamly satisfied with the company I purchased it from[@]. This was my first rowing machine.

I had been back and forth for a while to whether to spend the $1k or not for another clothes hanger. Actually I am using it a lot and my wife has finally seen a piece of gym equipment she would use too. The smoothness and flexibility of this equipment is amazing. What a great overall workout. We received the equipment within a week and it took all of 10 minutes to put together. Although you see it comments on noise, I think it is much quieter than weightGood luck!

Used a similar product during Cardiac Rehab and it was the best part of the routine. I wanted to get back into some routine exercise and selected this rower because it is quiet and sturdy as all get out. The only negative is the button head bolts used to assemble it, they are cheap and it is very easy to strip out the allen key. I replaced them all with higher grade fasteners.

Heart rate transmitter that came with the rower did not work. New battery did not help.
My polar transmitter worked great, just do not count on the one that you get with the machine.
